99½ REBORN — GitHub 7191271 preview In loving memory — Buttercup, Justin Tahai's 99.5 mkIV Source commit: 719127102e41d1acd74ddcb586aaff637ab90e53 Commit title: Harden REBORN recovery and preview delivery Runtime still identifies itself as 0.5.3-pass008. This is not a new graphics pass. WHAT CHANGED IN THE UPSTREAM GAME PIT STOP includes a two-click RESET PROGRESS. The tested normal-storage journey clears only REBORN save/story records, returns to the garage, and preserves an unrelated test key. Upstream also changed its local development-server guard. KNOWN ISSUES / NOT APPROVED AS A CLEAN PRODUCTION REPLACEMENT 1. Escape on a failed Harbor Run result can return to driving while the mission remains failed. Use GO AGAIN or BACK TO GARAGE instead. 2. The garage title/activity rectangles overlap at 844 x 390; the title exceeds a 320 px viewport in the tested Linux browser environment. 3. If browser storage throws, confirming reset throws instead of recovering into a session-only reset. Normal-storage reset passed using a clearly labeled in-memory fixture. 4. Previously reviewed imported-glass/reflection classification and model-loading limitations were not repaired by this upstream commit. No new photorealism claim. 5. The upstream development server now blocks several previously exposed paths, but dummy probes still returned private dummy bytes for /.env.local and /reference/real-car/dummy.txt. This server is not included as an executable Cloudflare backend. The website kit uses its separate build-directory-only preview server. Do not expose or tunnel the upstream development server. WEBSITE PACKAGING The existing tribute, memorial opening, Buildroom halo and links, GitHub source links, and the full local model remain. Game simulation and rendering code were not repaired or rewritten here. The previous memorial action guard and loading wrapper are the same integration approach as before. All deployment files are static. No Pages Functions, server-side Worker, database, remote model service, analytics, or paid API is included. play/sw.js is a browser cache worker. This is a code architecture statement, not an audit of an existing Cloudflare account or pricing guarantee. VALIDATION LIMITS New browser checks run in Chromium 144 on Linux; WebGL2 uses SwiftShader software rendering. Managed browser policy blocks normal URL navigation, so content and model responses use local fixtures. Normal reset tests seed in-memory storage; they do not certify disk persistence. Static HTTP serving/package checks run separately. Physical phones, Safari, Cloudflare deployment, TLS, and installed/offline PWA behavior are unverified. Use the ZIP on a staging/preview deployment for review. Nothing has been deployed or pushed by this packaging pass.
